Simba Guleid is the Coordinator of the NEDI project and former CEO of the Frontier Counties Development Council (FCDC), the regional development body for 10 arid and semi-arid counties in northern and north-eastern Kenya.
From 2013 to 2017, he served as Deputy Governor of Isiolo County.
Guleid holds a master's degree in Social Anthropology from the Free University, Amsterdam, Netherlands. His career spans roles in international development agencies and non-profits, including CORDAID.
He has also managed a family business in logistics, relief supplies, petroleum, and construction.
